Young At
Heart
Musical
Theatre For
Seniors
Incorporated
is a
non-profit,
charity
organization
that is
dedicated to
producing
vibrant,
professional
and original
theatre that
is created
to tour to
seniors
living in
PEI. Young
at Heart
Musical
Theatre was
formally
known as
Atlantic
Smile
Theatre,
created by
Catherine
O'Brien and
Hank Stinson
and modeled
after Smile
Theatre in
Ontario,
which has
been
operating
for over 40
years.
Our purpose
is to enrich
the lives of
seniors -
especially
those in
long term
care
facilities.
By engaging
the skills
of
professional
actors,
directors,
stage
managers,
writers,
designers,
composers
and
choreographers,
we strive to
produce
professional
theatre
designed to
stimulate
seniors’
minds,
spirits and
imaginations.
We have an
objective to
provide
original
Canadian
musicals for
isolated
seniors, to
produce
shows that
seniors can
relate to,
and to meet
and
socialize
with the
audience
after each
performance.
